MRI Laboratory at JSI

Laboratory of Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Jozef Stefan Institute was founded in 1987. After uncertain beginnings the laboratory got well affirmed in the local and international research community. It established intense collaboration with many other research groups in the country and abroad. The laboratory is also involved in teaching at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Ljubljana and at the Jozef Stefan International Postgraduate School. The main research activities of the MRI laboratory are focused to:

• Electric Current Density Imaging
• NMR in Porous Materials
• Spatially Resolved Spectroscopy
• NMR in Studies of Thrombolysis
• MRI in Pharmaceutical Research
• MRI of Wood
  
• MR Microscopy in Dental Research
• MRI in Food Research

Equipment of the MRI laboratory:

• 100 MHz MRI system for small animal imaging and simpler MR microscopy
• 400 MHz MRI system for advanced MR microscopy
